random update

It's been a long while since I wrote in my blog. So many things have happened in these 3 weeks. It's not that I gave up on blogging. It's just that I go through up and down phases... There are days where I could and would write about everything aaaaand there are days where I don't spend time as much in front of my computer.

Let's see...

My father-in-law's dad came to visit Japan. That would be Ah-zoh(great grandfather) to my son. The last time he was in Japan was for my wedding! (13 years ago) He's quite something. 90+ years old and still very active, still practices medicine (he still has patients coming to his clinic!) and I like how he is very curious about everything and would try new things. In one of the conversation, ji-che (uncle #2) jokingly suggested to practice in a bigger hospital. Then Ah-zoh answered, "I would if they hire a 90 year old physician!" What a character. He can drive a van, loves new technology (like computers and digital cameras) and has a sweet smile. I was amazed to see him take pictures, boot them up on his computer, and even prints it out. Yes, he even surfs the internet. what a guy. The thing I love the most about him is that he has heart for prayer and you can see in him that God is the pillar of all the things he does.

Here's a picture of 4 generation first born son. yes, they are ALL first born sons.
great grandpa= doctor
grandpa= dentist
dad= doctor
what a tremendous stress and pressure my son has to be in a medicine field. he has no desire to go in that field though. hahaha.

Have you ever tried the coke vs pepsi tasting test? Well, I had my kids try it. My daughter LOVES coke and she was able to tell right away which cup was pepsi and which one was coke. My son, on the other hand, was not really into carbonated drinks and couldn't tell which one was which. It turned out that he likes pepsi better than coke. I guess it's okay to drink it once in a while.

I've told my kids that coke is not really good and very bad for your teeth. My son actually did an experiment last summer to test what I say is true. he took one of his tooth that he had been collecting and put it in coke for a week to see what would happen. it turned out that the tooth REALLY did melt and disappear when submerged in coke for a week. It's much better to try and see it for himself than just being told.

okay, that's it for now.

They say pepsi is sweeter and it does well in taste tastes with small sips. But if you drink a lot or with food, coke usually does better. And that's one to grow on.
