the spring break for my kids just came and left. with just a week off from school, we didn't get to go travel far but we were able to visit the national diet building. 'twas very educational how japanese government works. we even got to see a glimpse of the prime minister's car pass by.
on april 4th, my daughter had a ballet recital. what a costume!
april 5th was monaka's 2nd birthday. i heard from a vet friend that for dogs, they age about 20 years in their first year and age about 4 years every year afterwards... soooo, our little one is already 24 years old! here she is, curled up like a cat.
on april 8th, it was my daughter's first day of school. here she is, saying, "go", indicating that she is now in 5th grade! (go nensei)
on that same day, it was my son's nyugaku shiki (kind of like an opening ceremony/orientation) for jr high. my oh my, we're about the same height!
his shoes size surpassed my size...for some reason, i can't flip the pic... my shoes is sandwiched between his black and white shoes. his shoes size is 27 that's equivalent to size 9 in US.
in this jr high, he has no friends.... yet. while everyone else knows each other from elementary school, he feels very left out. i feel like i am sending him into pack of wolves...
but i am sure he'll do fine.
