There was a 5 day weekend holiday in middle of September. And we had a great experience to go see....
Sumo!

Yamamotoyama.... I believe he's the heaviest one of all, weighing 258kg. hmmm, that's 568 pounds!!! We're not much a sumo fan but prior to going to the tournament, we had been watching sumo on tv everyday to know who's who so we can be at least familiar with some sumo wrestlers. When we were there though, I was like, "ooh, the famous guy is up next. What was his name again?)
Accompanied with our seat ticket was food and food, and lots of food. That's not all. After the tournament, we were all given bags and bags full of food and gifts. Yakitori, Bento, Monaka, Anmitsu, more snacks, and 5 sumo glass cups.... for each of us! (what are we going to do with 20 sumo glass cups?) I bet they are trying to make us get a pound closer to the sumo wrestler's weight! haha!
October is a month of sports day in Japan!
here's my daughter blowing her trumpet with the marching band during the "half time":
I am amazed that she learned to play 10 songs with her trumpet in less than 4 months. I can't even blow it right to even make a sound!
aaaand, here's the update of our house.

That sumo tournament actually looks like a lot of fun. You house & puppies-- looking forward to more updates! Very exciting!
