it's funny how lines for a store/restaurant make you curious and you wind up in the line also. that's what happened today for me. there was this small daifuku store near one of my son's entrance exam site. we passed by couple of times and every time, there were about 10 people lining up just to buy mochi. i guess the store is known for their fresh red beans... even though i don't really like daifuku with lots of beans, i lined up to buy some. the taste? it was deeeeelicious!
now if the lines were 1 hour for crispy creme donuts in japan i would not line up.
and i prefer to stay away from long lines in disneyland....

that's how i got my nintendo wii! a friend of mine saw a line, didn't know what it was for but decided to stand in it anyway and bam! Christmas eve nintendo wii 2 Christmas ago!
i don't think i'd do that though. i usually just walk up to someone in the line and ask them what they're in line for if i'm curious enough. :)
