My wish list

Wohoo! My parents and my bro are flying over here next month! It would be 10 years since my parents came over to Japan. They asked me what we want from the States. When I asked my kids, all they want are things that would be consumed in a week or two... things like gummy bears, mini packaged cereals, cheeze-its, goldfish, etc etc. What do I want the most from the States? I desperately need a Bible. The one that I have been using for more than 10 years is falling apart. I love its compact size, the flap to close it so the pages won't get folded when I carry it around with me in my purse. Sure, the Bible app on my iPhone is a great tool to read it anywhere.  But it's not the same. My parents said, "Sure, just send us exactly what you want and we will order for you and bring it over to Japan." The problem is, I haven't found one that I've been looking for. Has it changed that much over the years? It's called the thinline now? I like the fact that mine has a reference in the middle column for cross references. I grew up memorizing 1989 version of NIV so I prefer the same version. I like how Jesus' words are in red. I like how there's a ribbon in the middle for bookmarking.

I realize that I treasure the one that I am using now. I am starting to contemplate if I should just fix it up and keep on using it.
