Feb 2, it was the Groundhog Day...  which I didn't even know until someone had wished everyone a "Happy Groundhog Day!" on FB.

It was also the Lunar/Chinese New Year's Eve which we also didn't do anything particularly special.

Then on Feb 3rd was Setsubun in Japan where they throw beans and say, "Oni wa soto, Fuku wa uchi!"  meaning, "Demons out, Luck in." I rather say it like, "Evil spirit Out! Holy Spirit In!"

all we did was eat the norimaki just becuz they are soooo yummy!

oh, and yes, my son desperately  needs a haircut. (He wants to keep it long like everyone else in his class! Argh!)
